The Cooking Station turns raw produce into food and drink that restore hunger, thirst, health and energy. Fruit, fish, eggs, grain and butchered cuts go in; 70 of the 77 documented recipes finish inside four minutes, and 63 of them are open at level zero, so you can work here from your first day.

It sits mid-chain rather than at the end. Flour and syrup come from the Flour Mill, cuts from the Butcher, milk and eggs from the Cow Breeder and Chicken Coop. What leaves matters as much: butter, cream and syrup are ingredients in their own right, so a cook quietly supplies the brewers and herbalists as well as the dinner table.

Start with the dairy line — two milk make cream, two cream make butter, so four milk per butter — and build up from there. The common mistake is walking away: 75 of the 77 must be collected within twenty-four hours of finishing, and a dish still sitting on the station after that is lost. Once it is in your bag it keeps. Cook to order, and stockpile the ingredients instead.
